Car bombing kills six people N. Syria

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) At least six civilians were killed and 10 others injured as a booby-trapped car blew up on Afrin-A'zaz road, on the outskirts of the northern city of Aleppo on Sunday.

The bombing took place near Qatma village, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported, noting that the victims include several children.

The regular troops launched mortar and sniper attacks on Bab Al-Nairab and Aqiul districts of the old city of Aleppo amid fierce fighting between the opposition forces and the regular troops in the southern part of the city.

Meanwhile, the opposition Syria Mubasher news network reported that the opposition forces managed to repel a military operation aimed to restore military checkpoints in Al-Zabadani city, northwest Damascus.

Dozens of soldiers were killed and several military vehicles were destroyed in battles against the opposition forces near Dhar Al-Qadhib and Al-Mazbala checkpoints to the west of the city.

The regular troops lost the two sites to the opposition forces two days ago along with a lot of weapons and ammunition.

Shaam News Network (SNN) reported that fighting continues sporadically between the regime and opposition forces near Al-Yarmouk district, south Damascus, and Jobar district, northeast Damascus, amid reports on a huge bombing in the Yarmouk Palestinian refugee camp.

Fighting also continued between the regular troops and loyal militias, on one hand, and the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) on the other near Al-Hajar Al-Aswad district, south Damascus.

The regime of President Bashar Al-Assad continued, for the fourth consecutive day, blocking the Bebila-Sidi Meqdad checkpoint to prevent entry of food relief for the residents of the southern areas of capital city.
