Dubai Women Establishment organises Leadership Skills from Equestrian Perspective workshop

(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM)) The second edition of the Leadership Skills from Equestrian Perspective workshop organised by the Dubai Women Establishment has concluded with an attendance of 45 senior level female managers from the government and private sectors.
The programme, which aims to help participants overcome self-awareness, develop self confidence and leadership skills through interaction with horses, was held at Desert Palm Resort, Dubai.
On the occasion, Shamsa Saleh, CEO of Dubai Women Establishment, said, "Following the positive feedback received from the launch edition of this workshop last year, and in line with Dubai Women Establishment's ongoing efforts to develop the skills and capabilities of UAE female professionals, we were keen to introduce this unique work for a second time, allowing more women to benefit from the numerous ways that equine-assisted learning offers personal and professional development." She added, "The resultant value from this programme was to gently guide the attendees towards self-examination as becoming aware of one's behaviour is the cornerstone to leading others. Through reflection on one's approach and interaction with horses, our participants were able to recognise and correct their individual behavioural and communication patterns, allowing them to overcome their limitation and unlock their potential as leaders, thereby becoming key contributors to the UAE progress on a local and global scale." The programme, which consisted of 45 female level managers from government and private sectors, hosted in 3 batches, shed light on the importance of building self confidence and overcoming fear to build a leading personality. The programme included different activities involving horses and team members to help explain the importance of emotional intelligence in the leadership process.
