Kuwaiti FM heads to Iraq for joint meeting


(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM))  Kuwaiti First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, arrived in Iraq on Sunday to head a high-level delegation participating in meetings of the joint Kuwaiti-Iraqi committee.

The Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported that the Kuwaiti Minister is expected to meet with Iraqi President Dr. Fuad Masum, Prime Minister Dr. Haider Al-Abadi and Foreign Minister Dr. Ibrahim Al-Jafari, as well as other officials.

The Committee seeks to improve mutual cooperation, bilateral ties, sign a number of agreements and Memoranda of Understanding, as well as various programmes that support coordination in all areas.
