Kia logs global growth of 8.1 percent in 2014


(MENAFN) Kia Motors Corporation posted a global growth of 8.1 percent this year, with global sales for passenger cars totaling 257,487 units, Oman Observer reported.

The South Korean automaker's bestselling models in overseas markets last month were the B segment Rio, Sportage compact CUV, Cerato, Optima sedan and Sorento CUV.

In the January-November period of the year, Kia's total global sales have surged by 4.6 percent compared to the same period a year earlier, reaching 2,655,365 vehicles.

Kia produces over 2.7 million units a year in nine manufacturing and assembly plants in five countries and then sold and serviced through a network of distributors covering over 150 countries.
