China's crude steel output down 0.2 percent in November

(MENAFN) According to the Chinese National Development Reform Commission (NDRC), the country's crude steel production declined by 0.2 percent in November, Xinhua reported.

In the January-November period, crude steel output increase by 1.9 percent to 748.67 million tons, slowing by 5.9 percent over the same month a year ago when an increase of 4.2 percent was recorded.

Meanwhile, in the first ten-month period of 2014, combined profits in the industry decreased by 8.2 percent on-year to USD23.7 billion, the NDRC data showed.

The weak figures came amid indicators of slow economic activity, as the economy has expanded by 7.3 percent in the third-quarter, marking the slowest since the first quarter of 2009.
