(MENAFN) According to the latest figures by Dubai Customs, The value of trade between the emirate and Oman has reached USD4.35 billion during the January-September period of this year, Muscat Daily reported.
The department said that the value of trade between Dubai and the sultanate has been steadily growing, with the value of trade between them reaching USD5.17 billion, almost thrice the value of trade between them in 2010 which amounted to USD1.63 billion.
The department attributed the increase in the trading to the approximately 500 Omani companies currently operating in Dubai in various fields of trade and investment.
"We are committed to providing the best customs facilities and services for trade with Oman, in the light of the instructions of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to support the success of the Customs Union for GCC States and achieve its objectives," Director of Dubai Custom said.
