(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The National Assembly Speaker and President of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union (AIPU) Marzouq Al-Ghanim met here on Saturday with Egyptian President Abdelfatah Al-Sisi.
In press statements following the meeting, Al-Ghanim said he has conveyed to President Al-Sisi the greetings of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and all Kuwaiti political leadership who are looking forward to the planned visit by President Al-Sisi to Kuwait.
The visit, due on January 5, is expected to give push to the bilateral relations and cooperation in various domains, he noted.
Al-Ghanim added that his meeting with the Egyptian president touched upon several key issues, mainly the Kuwaiti-Egyptian relations and the developments in the Arab region.
