Egyptian Pres. invited to visit Spain


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Egypt's President Abdelfatah Al-Sisi met with Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Jose Manuel Garcia-Margallo on Saturday to discuss ways to boost bilateral relations, in addition to a number of regional and international issues of common interest.

The Spanish Minister handed the Egyptian President an official invitation from Spanish King Felipe VI to visit Spain which was welcomed by Al-Sisi, Egyptian Presidential Spokesman Alaa Yousef said.

Al-Sisi affirmed his country's desire to enhance cooperation with Spain and to resolve all problems facing some Spanish companies in Egypt.

He affirmed resolve to find mutually-acceptable solutions for to the disputes with Spanish investors in the country in order to regain the trust of foreign investors, the Spokesman said.

Al-Sisi also expressed his aspiration for Spain's continued understanding and supportive stand towards current developments in Egypt.

He called on the Spanish government to take into consideration the security challenges facing Egypt when addressing the country's interior developments to European and international institutions, the spokesman added.
