Tawjihi winter session exams start


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency)  Education Minister Mohammad Thneibat said the general secondary school examination, Tawjihi, winter semester, which began nationwide on Saturday, is proceeding smoothly.

He said the first day of the exams, which determine the future of students, was trouble-free with no gatherings being seen around the test rooms or outside schools, and thanked all ministry staff and cadres organising the tests.

The minister was inspecting exam halls in secondary schools in Amman, Baqaa and Abu Nseir, where he was assured about the "relaxed atmosphere" for both students and proctors.

He commended the "high level of awareness" and cooperation displayed by test-taking students, parents and the local community and thanked them for following the ministry's instructions as it seeks to ensure fairness among students and prevent cheating.
