(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) In line with the global Peugeot strategy of supporting youth in sports European Motors the official dealers of Peugeot in the sultanate sponsored the PRO Tennis Oman – Intra Club Junior Tennis Tournament for the second time this year.
The tournament which was held at the Golden Tulip was attended by more than 70 participants together with their parents and friends.
Organised by Pro Tennis Oman and overseen by six professional coaches the Intra Club Junior Tennis Tournament took place over the course of a single day. The tournament was held as an introduction to a real tennis competition for junior players while it served as a valuable practice for the more senior club members. The tournament was split into four categories and saw 70 young tennis players vying for victory while supported by family and friends.
Commenting on the sponsorship Gurdeep Singh Multani brand manager for Peugeot in Oman said 'The last tournament organised in March this year was a great success and was a true showcase of sporting talent and disciple by Junior tennis players in the sultanate. This tournament was no different. The competition was fierce throughout the tournament and it was an honour for us help provide a platform for these talented young players to put their skills to the test. Furthermore tournaments such as these are a perfect opportunity for Peugeot to interact in person with the community.'
