Kuwaitis clinch 14 medals


(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY Dec 27 (KUNA): Kuwaiti national 'Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu' (BJJ) team has snatched 14 medals: Three gold eight silver and three bronze in the Bahrain Open Jiu-Jitsu Championship held on Friday with the participation of several Arab and foreign countries the Martial Arts Committee affiliated with the Kuwait Olympic Committee said. Fouzan Al-Sabej a Member of the Martial Arts Committee told KUNA after the team returned home on Saturday that Mohammad Al-Tubaikh Fahad Al- Wuhair and Jerrah Al-Hazza won the gold medals.

Musab Al-Hubail Abdullah Al-Faraj Muhanna Al-Muhanna won the bronze ones he added hailing the performances of all players who participated in the tournament. Al-Sabej emphasized that the Kuwait Olympic Committee chaired by Sheikh Fahad Talal Al-Fahad Al-Sabah is keen on supporting all Martial Arts games. Al-Sabej noted that Kuwaiti national Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu team achieved several accomplishments in the last period especially when it won three medals in the Asian Beach Games in Phuket 2014 in Thailand last November.
