One Soldier Killed, Another Injured in East Yemen
(MENAFN- QNA) One A soldier was killed and another wounded today in an explosion that targeted a military patrol in the eastern Yemeni governorate of Hadramaut.
An official security source in the governorate said in a press statement that the bomb hit a military patrol while passing near a popular markets in Al-Qutn, killing one soldier and wounding another.
The source said security services began investigating into the incident to find out the identity of the persons who planted the explosive device.
In another incident, a powerful explosion ripped through the governorate of Ibb in central Yemen.
An official security source said the explosion, believed to be caused by an explosive charge, rocked the city centre, causing no casualties, but great damage was caused to the electricity grid and some nearby buildings.
Earlier, Ibb governorate had been the scene of fierce clashes between Houthi militants and tribesmen which left hundreds of dead and injured.
