UAE- Shaikh Zayed Mosque opens in China


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) An official source at the Khalifa Foundation said the mosque which can accommodate more than 6000 worshipers will be opened today.

Abu Dhabi: The Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation a major UAE humanitarian agency has completed construction of the Shaikh Zayed Mosque in China’s Ningxia region which is one of the largest mosques in the People’s Republic of China.



An official source at the Khalifa Foundation said the mosque which can accommodate more than 6000 worshipers will be opened today. The construction of the mosque was completed in a record time of less than nine months.



He further explained in a statement to Emirates News Agency WAM that the project is a contribution of the Khalifa Bin Foundation in memory of the UAE founding father the late Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
