Saudi- Gunners to clash with Red Devils in JSC final today
(MENAFN- Arab News) JEDDAH: Gunners will confront Red Devils in the final of Jeddah Sports Club Soccer Academy's in house Tournament. In the last group matches Gunners overcame stiff resistance to get the better of Dragons 2-1 and Red Devils crushed Spurs 3-1.
Gunners finished the league round without a defeat and topped the table. They got seven points. Red Devils came second with four points.
Man-of-the-Match Amal Naseer netted a brace for the Gunners. Aseem Mattoo reduced the margin for Dragons. Goalkeeper Nufais was selected as the budding star.
Red Devils needed a win against Spurs and they came out with all the guns blazing. Nabeel Sudheer Man-of-the-Match Syed Wajahath Qadiri captain Basil Naser scored a goal each for the winners. Substitute Arshaq Sadiq who was selected as budding star netted the consolation goal.
In the penultimate round matches Dragons drew with Spurs 2-2 and Gunners came back from two goals down to beat Red Devils 4-3. Man-of-the-Match Sahal Zaheer scored a double for Dragons. Hazem Ahmed and Faris Shehenshah found the net for Spurs. For Gunners Man-of-the-Match Mir Omar scored twice. Amal Naseer and Anas Basheer also found the target. Abdul Aziz Wajahath Qadiri and Nabeel Sudheer scored for Red Devils.
The final will be held today at the Dunk ground behind IKEA show room on Sitteen road.
