(MENAFN- QNA) Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov stressed his country's support for the Palestinian-drafted resolution to the U.N. Security Council, urging the15-member Council to reach a unanimous decision on the resolution.
Speaking to Russia Today, Gatilov said we will vote in favor of this resolution, and we want to see a resolution that satisfies all the 15 members of the Security Council and aimed at achieving practical results in resolving the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, launching the negotiation process and resolving all the problems.
He added that the private Russian foreign envoy to the Middle East, Sergei Freshinin is conducting bilateral talks in the Occupied Territories with Palestinians and Israelis.
