Saudi- Drug traffickers posing as cops nabbed
(MENAFN- Arab News) Jazan police arrested two drug smugglers on Monday impersonating border guards and found two bags of heroin and an unspecified amount of qat in their car.
The officers arrested the two after inspecting their vehicle on the Sabya-Jazan Road when their police uniforms raised suspicion said a report. The duo has been handed over to the drug enforcement agency for further action.
Also on Monday night officers in Darb north of Jazan exchanged fire with Ethiopian drug smugglers.
An Ethiopian was injured. Police seized weapons hashish and other drugs.
Officers had raided the smugglers' hideout in Darb. Four people had run away from the site the report stated.
