The Dubai Shopping Malls Group (DSMG) has announced ‘A Million Reasons To Shop’ promotion offering shoppers who spend a minimum of Dh200 the chance to win up to Dh1 million in prizes from January 1 to February 1. Almost all leading shopping malls and retail outlets will participate in the event and offer special discounts and irresistible deals during DSF 2015.
“The promotion offers pleasant surprises for both residents and visitors alike and further enriches their shopping experience. We have been closely linked with DSMG for many years now and are pleased to see the growth and development that both parties have achieved for Dubai over these past years” said Laila Mohammed Suhail CEO Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE) an agency of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM).
“From a small retail event to an internationally acclaimed festival DSF has come a long way in contributing generously to the economy of the UAE. We will ensure the trend continues even in the upcoming season of DSF thereby contributing to an increase in sales at the malls” said Majid Al Ghurair chairman of Dubai Shopping Malls Group.
The One Million Dirhams being given away will be in the form of cash prizes and shopping vouchers providing residents and visitors another incentive to celebrate during the shopping extravaganza.
The campaign will have raffle draws taking place on January 9 16 23 and February 1. It will also see Dh20000 in cash awarded to five winners each week and a Mega Bumper Cash Prize worth Dh100000 won by one person every week.
On top of this fantastic offer shoppers will also be given the opportunity to double their chances of winning with instant scratch and win prizes worth Dh1000 each to be given to 200 lucky shoppers. DSF beckons Indians with gold jewellery offers

mumbai — Key representatives of the Dubai Gold and Jewellery Group (DGJG) on Monday launched the biggest-ever gold and jewellery promotions here just days before the start of the 20th Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF).
“We know the fondness that this country holds for gold” Tawhid Abdullah Abdullah chairman DGJG told a news conference here on Monday. “So we have come here to extend a special invitation to you all. This is the 20th anniversary of DSF and a milestone year for us.”
To make the experience memorable the group in association with Dubai Festival & Retail Establishment (DFRE) the organisers of DSF has attempted to manufacture the world’s longest handmade gold chain aptly termed as the Dubai Celebration Chain with a minimum length of 5km.
With the advanced booking facility if the demand goes up the chain will be extended to 8km said Abdullah. The gold that will be used for manufacturing the chain would weigh about 180kg and the chain will be assembled in public in the presence of media and representatives of Guinness World Records.
It will also be displayed at the Deira Gold Souq prior to the DSF for public viewing. “We hope to finish the manufacturing process and assemble the chain for display on January 2” added Abdullah. “The popularity of Dubai’s gold promotions amongst Indians is evident by the large number of winners from India.”
