Sheikh Saif receives community police award from American organisation


(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM))  H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, has received the Award for Best Applications in Solving Problems Project, submitted to the US-based International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) and won by the management community police at Abu Dhabi Police (ADP).

Todd A. Miller, Chief of Police for the City of Mankato, Minnesota, presented the award to Sheikh Saif in the presence of Lt. Colonel Mubarak bin Muhairom, Head of the Community Police Department at ADP.

Sheikh Saif listened to a brief explanation from Colonel Mubarak about the award, who noted that the UAE had beaten 50 other participating countries in the category of Making Schools More Secure. The UAE project had been implemented in collaboration with the community police and Science Institute in Abu Dhabi, using the best international methodologies to solve problems.

The project was appreciated by the community and later by the jury committee from the IACP organisation, which had received more than 50 entries from around the world.

Bin Muhairom pointed out that the award is a testament to the success of Sheikh Saif's directives, which aim to make the ADP a role model for police work globally.
