118 new Syrians refugees cross into Jordan


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency)  A total of 118 new Syrian refugees, mostly women, children and elderly people, entered the Kingdom over the past 48 hours.

The Border Guards exerted enormous efforts to ensure that the displaced were provided with food and drinks and given urgent humanitarian aid before transferring them to refugee camps.

Syrian nationals have been fleeing Syria following an the escalation in the Syrian Civil War to escape the violence. So far, roughly two and a half million Syrian refugees have fled the country to neighboring Jordan and other countries.
