Hindu groups seek ban on 'PK'


(MENAFN- Arab News) MUMBAI: Various Hindu organizations staged a protest against Aamir Khan's newly released movie 'PK' outside a mall and a theater in Amritsar on Monday. The protest was led by Hindu Sanyuk Morcha.

Rajiv Tandon and Varun Mehta from the protest group said that in this movie derogatory remarks were made against Hindu religion which would not be tolerated. Asserting that the movie should not be screened any more in Ludhiana cinemas they demanded registration of an FIR against the star cast of the movie.

Later a protest march was led by Shiv Sena Bajrang Dal Shiv Sena Punjab and a few other organizations. The members of these organizations stated that their units in other districts would also press for stopping the screening of this movie.

Tight security arrangements were made around all those cinema halls and malls where 'PK' was being shown.
