Oman- Panel signs MoU with OIEC to support South Batinah Logistics Area Project


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on Tuesday at the Supreme Council for Planning between its Steering Committee for the South Batinah Logistics Area Project and the Oman International Exhibition Centre (OIEC). The MoU covers the committee's plan to provide necessary infrastructure and facilities for the project.

Talal bin Sulaiman al Rahbi deputy secretary general of the Supreme Council for Planning and a member of the project Steering Committee and Mohsen bin Khamis al Balushi advisor in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and chairman of OIEC board of directors signed the MoU.

The MoU will allow use of OIEC expertise in organising and managing exhibitions related to the project and attracting investment through an integrated centre with its annexes and support services. Rahbi said that the MoU comes to complement the plan of the Steering Committee to provide promotional outlets as a value-added contribution to market products and services and open avenues for companies to take advantage of OIEC's facilities to connect with other companies and customers.

Balushi said that the project will include showrooms and service offices shops open show areas offloading loading and storage area parking for visitors and staff. The centre will develop the engineering layouts and required designs in coordination with panel specialists.
