India's new airline to launch services in January 2015

(MENAFN) India's newly-launched airlines, Vistara, announced launching its services next month, expressing "enthusiasm" about the future, even as rival carriers dwell in the red, Arab News reported.

The new carrier, which is 49 percent owned by Singapore Airlines and 51 percent by India-based Tata conglomerate, has scheduled its first flight to be launched on January 9 of 2015.

"We're enthusiastic. There are no doubt challenges, but we believe in the immense potential of the Indian aviation market," Vistara chief executive officer (CEO) said in a statement.
