Oman's OETC signs power deals worth USD227.45m


(MENAFN) Oman Electricity Transmission Company (OETC) has signed six deals to expand and increase power transmission infrastructure across the northern areas, Oman Observer reported.

OETC's CEO has signed the agreements, collectively valued at USD227.45 million. The first agreement was for the construction of a new 220/132/33kV grid station at Sohar Free Zone.

OECT has also signed a deal with the partnership of Gulf Jyoti International and Jyoti Construction for the installation of a 400kv Overhead Transmission Line between Izki and Kisfah grid stations.

"We are proud to be part of the overall development plans in the country through the implementation of many vital projects which will meet all the required needs in transmitting electricity," CEO said.
