The talented recording artist and songwriter Sean 1 is part of a new revolution in R&B music that focuses on airtight songwriting and an underground vibe. His latest artistic endeavor is the single “Booty On Me” which will be featured on the upcoming “In My Lifetime Vol. 1” mixtape set to be released by Self Made Millionaire Entertainment in February 2015.
December 22nd 2014 - A native of Louisville Kentucky Sean Booker AKA Sean 1 began singing at age 5. A performer in numerous church and school productions he honed in on his vocal skills and gained the recognition of a number of musical outfits. Eventually he became a member of the band that the world would know as Playa. Influenced by bandmate Static Major who is credited with writing a number of hit songs including Lil Wayne’s “Lollipop” Sean 1 began the transition from performer to songwriter. In 2006 he won the Paramount songwriting contest where he earned the opportunity to perform at the Palms Hotel Resort in Las Vegas.
Sean’s song was featured on the soundtracks for “Winner Takes All” and “Change The Game” two movies that regularly aired on BET. Although the songs earned him recognition in the R&B industry they brought limited success. However he received even more recognition with his first independent album Definitions which he released in 2007 and performed at the New York Music Fest. His big break came in 2012 when one of his singles reached the top 10 on the Billboard in the category of independent artist and was able to introduce himself as a solo artist on a cross-country tour with recording artist Wale.
Today Sean 1 is the co-CEO of Self Made Millionaire Records a label dedicated to innovating the R&B genre. This position has given him the rare opportunity to share his writing and performing talents and help nurture the careers of up and coming artists through the “In My Lifetime Vol. “ compilation. Ironically named after Jay Z’s 1997 sophomore release the mixtape will feature Sean 1’s original track “Booty On Me” as well as songs from other critically acclaimed artists including Grammy nominated artist R. Prophet of Nappy Roots. The release of the album will be shortly followed by a national tour. In addition Self Made Millionaire Entertainment plans to showcase its vast talent on their own online television outlet SMME TV. “Booty On Me” can also be heard on local and satellite radio stations nationwide.
