Ammar Al Nuaimi chairs Executive Council meeting


(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM))  H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, has chaired an Executive Council Meeting at the Emiri Court, where he stressed the need to intensify efforts and continue working towards achieving the Ajman 2021 Vision.

During the meeting, which was attended by Sheikh Ahmed bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Deputy Chairman of the Executive Council, and a number of Sheikhs and Board members, the council reviewed the implementation of earlier endorsements and recommendations, as they reviewed the agenda prepared by the General Secretariat.

Saeed Saif Al Matrooshi, Secretary-General of the Executive Council, presented the recommendations and the actions taken to implement those directives by institutions, government departments and specialised technical committees.

Some of the topics discussed included increasing the efficiency of Ajman Creek, and a special committee was formed and approved which will be required to propose appropriate policies to limit environmental damage, eliminate pollution in the area, and focus on the rehabilitation of wildlife in surrounding areas to ensure the preservation of biodiversity and promotion of the concept of a green economy and sustainable development in the emirate.

The Council also reviewed a memorandum on improving services along Ajman's shores, in line with the highest standards of public services and safety, as well as preserving the public image of the emirate, along with reducing pollution and improving the experience for tourists.

Concluding the session, H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi praised the role of the Secretariat in developing policies and for providing training of government employees in enacting policies.

He also stressed that government departments need to take into consideration public opinion on important issues and review best practices, in order to provide the community with integrated solutions that will address problems and improve services that best serve the interests of the emirate, its citizens and residents, and supports the implementation of the strategic plan for Ajman 2021 Vision.
