Sharjah, China trade to hit USD5b in 2014


(MENAFN) Sharjah Economic Development Department (Sedd) announced that the bilateral trade between Sharjah and China is expected to grow by 11 percent this year to reach USD5 billion, Emirates 24/7 reported.

The department said that these numbers are a growth compared with the10 percent growth which was registered last year, leading bilateral trade to hit USD4.5 billion.

Sharjah Economic Development Department also said that it is aiming to boost its cooperation with Southeastern Asian countries, China in particular, particularly in the investment fields, which will result in more growth for the emirate.

Sedd provides Sharjah with a number of cooperation projects in the fields of developing small enterprises, supporting youth projects, cooperating in shipping manufactures, as well as establishing building companies of government public service projects and private projects.
