(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah received here on Sunday Secretary-General of Arab Interior Ministers Council Mohammad bin Ali Kuman.
Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled expressed his gratitude to the Secretary-General and Secretariat General of the council for strengthening Arab cooperation in the security field to face challenges and the developments on both regional and international arenas, said a statement by the Interior Ministry's Security Media Department.
Sheikh Mohammad noted that such developments require primarily continuous coordination and exchange of expertise and information among Arab interior ministries, it said.
According to the statement, Minister Sheikh Mohammad and Kuman reviewed the most prominent topics on the agenda of the coming meeting of Arab Interior Ministers due in Algeria next March.
For his part, Kuman said he was so happy to meet Sheikh Mohammad and listen to his directives regarding the importance of security coordination among the Arab countries to maintain security and develop mechanisms of joint cooperation.
He voiced his gratitude to the Kuwait's government and people for constant support to the GCC and the Secretariat General of the councilas well.
Kuman is on an official visit to Kuwait to attend the 39th meeting of the Arab Police Sporting Federation.
