Kuwait- MoI embarks on ambitious prog. to harness skills of law enforcers - official


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Learning and Education Major General Sheikh Faisal Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah said Sunday that the Ministry is focusing on upgrading the skills of law enforcers to achieve comprehensive security for the society.

The Ministry has ambitious, diverse and world-class theoretical and practical training programs to harness these skills and enhance the performance of policemen, a statement by the MoI's Security Media Department quoted Sheikh Faisal as saying at the inaugural speech of a symposium, organized by the Security Strategy Studies of the National Security College.

He also stressed importance of expanding cooperation with all government and non-government organizations operative in the country to counter different kinds of crimes.

Sheikh Faisal said the symposium, themed 'Comprehensive Security in Light of Current and Future Challenges', is also meant to hone skills of security commanders and to provide them with studies about the main causes of crimes, particularly those committed by youth, and the optimal approaches and tools to counter them.

He added that the symposium will also tackle hot issue of striking a balance between security, law enforcement and respect of human rights.
