JHCO sends new aid convoy to Gaza

(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency)  Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) sent on Sunday a nine-truck convoy to Gaza laden with food at a cost of JD80,000.

Secretary General of the JHCO Ayman Mifleh said that the convoy donated by the Amman Chamber of Industry (ACI), was meant to ease the suffering of the Gazans, indicating that the aid will be delivered to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) to be distributed among the Palestinians in the coastal enclave.

ACI Chairman Ziad Al Homsi said making such donations is a national duty towards the Palestinians, noting that the ACI will organize economic delegations' visits to Gaza to promote joint investments, mainly in the electricity, water, cement and iron sectors.
