Strong earthquake hits eastern Indonesia, US Geological Survey says


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency)  A magnitude-6.6 earthquake hit off the coast ofeastern Indonesia on Sunday, the US Geological Survey said on itswebsite, according to dpa.
The tremor's epicentre was 157 kilometres west of Tobelo, which lieson the eastern island of Halmahera, USGS said, adding that theearthquake's depth was 54.6 kilometres.
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said no tsunami warning had beenissued.
