China's JD.com inks deal with US Gap Inc.


(MENAFN) China's JD.com Inc. and Gap Inc. announced striking a partnership which allows the Chinese e-commerce firm to sell the US clothing retailer's line online in China, Oman Observer reported.

By announcing its partnership with JD.com, Gap would be the latest in a list of foreign companies to sign with some of China's biggest Internet firms, including Alibaba and Tencent Holdings Ltd.

China's No. 2 e-commerce firm JD.com and Alibaba, are competing to ink deals with some of the world's most recognized brands, which offer big boosts in both sales and image at home and overseas.
