(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Eleven convicted criminals were put to death early Sunday at the Kingdom's main correctional facility in the south, an official announced.
The executed were all men and had already been handed the capital punishment by the High Criminal Court and endorsed by the Court of Cassation for murders they had committed, said, Ziad al-Zu'abi, Interior Ministry Spokesman.
He added the executions were carried out at Swaqa Correctional and Rehabilitation Centre, south, in the presence of Amman prosecutor general and other officials after taking all required legal measures.
