Seven people die in bombs, mortars in Iraq


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Seven people died and a number of others were wounded in blasts and mortar attacks in Iraq on Saturday, police said.

Police said a bomb blew up in Al-Madaen bazar southern Baghdad, killing two people and wounding ten others. Meanwhile, one died and six others suffered injuries in an identical incident that happened in a popular market in Al-Taji in the north of the capital.

Elsewhere, two army soldiers died and five others were wounded in a bomb blast that targeted their patrol in Abu Ghuraib, western Baghdad.

One person died and eight others were wounded in mortar attacks on Arab Jabbour west of the capital, the police added.
