OIC condemns terrorist attack on Peshawar school


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency)  Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) expressed today the organization's full support to the government and the people of Pakistan following the terrorist attack on the Army Public School in Peshawar, Pakistan, early this week.
In an interview with Radio Pakistan following his visit to the injured at the injured at Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Peshawar, said 'In Islam, there is no space for the barbarism that we witnessed in Peshawar. Pakistan is leading country of the Muslim Ummah (nation) and the terrorists are out to weaken it.'
According to WAM, the OIC Secretary General asked Ulema (the Muslim religious scholars) to discourage terrorism and extremism in all its forms and manifestations, and stressed the need for eliminating social causes that lead to terrorism.
Madani expressed sympathy with the bereaved families and wished for early recovery for the injured students and teachers. He appreciated the high morale of the students of Army Public School.
