Saudi- Many join Pak CG to honor victims of school attack
(MENAFN- Arab News) Diplomats businessmen and members of both Pakistani and Saudi communities gathered at the Pakistan consul general's residence to honor victims killed in terrorist attack at Peshawar school.
The ceremony began with recitation of Qur'anic verses and a Salat Al-Janaza (funeral prayer) was held for the 149 innocent victims that included students and teachers who were slaughtered by a Taleban militia in Peshawar on this week.
Leading the mourning Pakistan CG Aftab Khokhar said 'The people of Pakistan are deeply shocked and grieved at this despicable act of terrorism in a Peshawar Army Public School.'
Calling the terrorists 'enemies of Pakistan enemies of Islam and enemies of humanity' Khokher said: 'they have no regard for human life and no respect for children.'
The whole nation of Pakistan is with the grieving families of these young children who took the place of martyrs after the massacre he said.
Pakistan's national flag was held at half mast at the consulate.
