Saudi- New website to improve business in the Kingdom
(MENAFN- Arab News) A new online site expected to open in the coming days is generating a lot of buzz in the Kingdom's business sector.
The site Red Sea Electronic Portal has been developed by the University of Business and Technology (UBT) in Jeddah and is expected to launch before the end of the year. Featuring the most recent studies and articles about the world of business it aims to provide the latest up to date business news and developments as well as new theories and practices in the field both locally and internationally.
A team of 17 female students began working on the idea proposed by Ali Somaie head of the Administrative Information Systems' department at UBT. The developing group of students is led by Abeer Al-Johani and Meaad Al-Zahrani. Ohoud Algarni heads the technical support team with the participation of Nada Haneefa Nour Hawari Reem Algamdi Reem Alotaibi and Sawsan AlQurashi. Areej Mullah heads the editing team which includes Heba Hindiah Nadine Khoja Reem Jamjoom and Afraa Abdulaal while Meaad Al-Zahrani is in charge of the marketing team which consists of Hanaa Ashri Reema Ajeenh Amani Zieadah and Najat Al-Harthi.
These projects are not new at UBT. The famous e-commerce 'Red Sea Auction' website was implemented in the university after it began as a class project. 'We value these projects and know that they benefit the business field. We decided to publish all the projects submitted by the MBA students at UBT on the portal as well' Somaie told Arab News.
