(MENAFN- QNA) HE Qatar's Ambassador to the Gambia Mohammed bin Nasser Essa Al-Kaabi held a reception to mark Qatar National Day.
The function was attended by the Gambia's Minister of Foreign Affairs Bala Garba-Jahumpa, Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs Kebba Touray and a number of officials in the Gambian foreign Ministry in addition to members of Arab, Islamic and European diplomats accredited to the Gambia.
During the ceremony, HE the Qatari Ambassador delivered a speech in which he extended congratulations to HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and HH the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani.
The Gambia's Foreign Minister, also delivered a speech in which he conveyed the greetings of the Gambian President Yahya Jammeh to HH the Emir.
The function included a documentary on showing several aspects of renaissance witnessed in Qatar in addition to presenting souvenirs on this occasion.
