Big Boy and Power 106’s Matt Kemp LA Fan Appreciation Day “It’s Funny That I Found Out I Was a Padre on Social Media!" Power 106 Exclusive
(KPWR-FM Los Angeles) Matt Kemp broke his silence about this trade to the San Diego Padres today during his LA fan appreciation celebration with Power 106’s Big Boy in the Morning. Kemp has been a longtime friend of Big Boy’s Neighborhood and spent the morning hanging out with die-hard Dodger’s fans signing autographs giving away autographed cleats and memorabilia and talking about his trade to the Padres.
Kemp said “It’s funny that I found out I was a Padre on Social Media.” Kemp addressed the rumors about his arthritic hips “Man I’ve been playing baseball for so long man I play I’m an athlete man everybody gets banged up… I think that everybody in this room has some type of arthritis in their body somewhere. I just so happen to have a little bit of arthritis in my hips. That ain’t gonna stop me from doin’ what I do.
Kemp was overwhelmed with emotion from Dodger fan support. “These fans have been a big part of my life ya know they’ve been supportive throughout everything and I just want to thank you all you guys for everything y’all have done.”
