Along with the increase in joy this holiday season also comes an increase in the common cold. Kids are especially prone to this as they are with other kids at school and in playgroups. Kids In The House interviewed Pediatrician Dr. Lawrence Ross to help educated parents how common cold treatment and prevention.
Dr. Ross encourages parents to vaccinate their children each winter. He said the flu vaccine is extremely important in keeping your child healthy.
“In addition to getting your full regular immunizations which I heartily support learning about hand hygiene and teaching your children about the importance of hand hygiene is extremely important” explained Dr. Ross.
Dr. Ross said that when children in schools and nursery care use gels such as alcohol gels it dramatically reduces the risk of the children acquiring infections.
