Qatar's Embassy in Colombo Marks National Day


(MENAFN- QNA) Qatar's Embassy in Sri Lanka hosted a reception to mark Qatar's National Day at the Hilton hotel in Colombo.

   The ceremony was attended by Minister of Foreign Employment Promotion and Welfare Dilan Perera, as a guest of honor and representative of the Sri Lankan government, and a number of ministers including Minister of Justice Rauff Hakeem, Minister of Industry and Trade Rishad Badiuddin, Minister of Urban Development Mohamed Fawzi, and Secretary, Ministry of External Affairs, Kshenuka D. Senewiratne, in addition to a number of members of parliament and senior officials of the Sri Lankan government.

   It was also attended by Arab and foreign ambassadors and heads of international organizations accredited to Sri Lanka, along with a large number of businessmen and the press and media and dignitaries.

   A film about key political, economic and social development achievements by the State of Qatar under the leadership of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani was screened.
