(MENAFN- QNA) HE Qatar's Ambassador to Japan Yousuf Mohammed Bilal hosted here this evening a reception at the Imperial hotel on the occasion of Qatar national day. The function was attended by a number of senior politicians and officials, members of the Arab and foreign diplomatic corps in Tokyo, a number of Business leaders as well as public figures and a number of representatives of the Japanese media.
In a speech on the occasion , HE Ambassador Bilal praised "the excellent relations between the State of Qatar and Japan, which he said were always strong and culminated in economic and trade cooperation in various sectors", stressing that the wise leadership is keen to strengthen and develop these relations to a comprehensive strategic partnership to benefit the two countries and their peoples.
He expressed his thanks and appreciation to everyone who contributed to the development of bilateral relations from official circles and the private sector, friends and partners in the Qatar Friendship Fund.
For his part, Qatar Friendship Fund's goodwill ambassador Tetsuya Bessho expressed "congratulations to the leadership, Government and people of the State of Qatar on the glorious" occasion, commending the Fund's efforts in the reconstruction of the regions affected by the earthquake disaster in Japan in 2011, which he said brought hope to many of the disaster victims in these areas.
