(MENAFN- QNA) HE Qatar's Ambassador to Canada Fahad Yousuf Kafoud held a reception to celebrate Qatar's National Day.
The ceremony was attended by a number of ministers, senior officials and members of the Senate and the House of Commons in Canada, in addition to members of the diplomatic corps in Ottawa.
On the sidelines of the ceremony, HE the Ambassador handed awards to the winners of children drawing contest Qatar 2014, which was held on the occasion of the National Day and saw the participation of 30 students from a number of Canadian schools. The contest focused on Qatari-Canadian ties and the students expressed through their drawings the depth of the relations between the two countries.
Qatar's Consulate in Croatia Celebrates National Day
Zagreb, December 18 - HE Qatar's Ambassador to the Republic of Croatia Sheikha Moza bint Nasser Al-Thani hosted a reception on the occasion of Qatar's National Day.
The ceremony was attended by president of the Croatian Parliament Josip Leko, Croatian deputy prime minister and minister of the interior Ranko Ostojic, deputy speaker Nenad Stazic, deputy foreign minister Josko Klisovic, deputy economy minister for energy affairs Sabina Skrtic, and vice president of the Croatian democratic union opposition party Ivan Domagoj Milosevic.
The ceremony was also attended by Croatian economic, intellectual, scientific and political figures as well as members of the Arab and foreign diplomatic corps accredited to Croatia and the sons of the Arab and Muslim communities in Zagreb.
In remarks during the ceremony, HE the Ambassador praised the outstanding relations between the two countries which are enhanced through mutual visits to further consolidate the ties of cooperation in all fields.
The event's guests also congratulated the State of Qatar and expressed their greetings to the government and people of Qatar on this occasion, noting the role played by the State of Qatar on the Arab, regional and international levels under the wise leadership of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani.
The celebration included presentation on Qatar's heritage and miniature models of Qatari ships.
Qatar's Consulate in Hong Kong Celebrates National Day
Hong Kong, December 18 - HE Sultan bin Ali Al Khater, Consul-General of the State of Qatar in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China, held a reception to celebrate Qatar's National Day.

Singapore, December 18 - HE Qatar's Ambassador to the Republic of Singapore Mohammed bin Ali Al Maadheed held a reception to celebrate Qatar's National Day at Shangri-La Hotel.
The ceremony was attended by Singapore's Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office Sam Tan Chin Siong and a number of members of parliament as well as members of the diplomatic corps and businessmen in Singapore.
Qatar's Embassy in El Salvador Marks National Day
San Salvador, December 18 - HE Qatar's Ambassador to the Republic of El Salvador Abdurrahman Mohammed Hamdan Al Dosari hosted a reception on the occasion of Qatar National Day.
The ceremony was attended by a number of senior officials in El Salvador, including Technical Secretary of the Presidency Francisco Roberto Lorenzana, president of the Supreme Court of Justice Jose Belarmino Jaime and President of the Administrative Court Elsy Dueas de Aviles, and Defense Minister David Munguia Payes, Deputy Minister of Foreign Relations Carlos Alfredo Castaneda Magana, along with heads of diplomatic missions accredited to El Salvador and a number of eminent personalities, academics and leaders of the parties and the Arab community in El Salvador.

HE the Ambassador praised the friendship ties and cooperation between the State of Qatar and the Republic of El Salvador as well as the bilateral cooperation between them in international organizations.
