(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM)) H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, yesterday honoured a number of entities and individuals who supported and donated to the Ministry of Interior's Al Faraj Fund.
The honorees spent three consecutive years doing charitable work for the fund and were recognised for their humanitarian aid and assistance for inmates of the Punitive and Correctional Establishments and their families.
Sheikh Saif expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the honorees for their support and donations to the fund, and for bringing joy to the hearts of the inmates and their families. He hailed all those who have supported the Al Faraj Fund for their efforts that were reflective of social cooperation and cohesion in the United Arab Emirates.
The ceremony was attended by Major-General Dr. Nasser Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Secretary-General of the Office of H.H. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Al Faraj Fund, Brigadier Ali Khalfan Al Dhaheri, Director-General of the Headquarters Affairs at Abu Dhabi Police, Colonel Abdul Hakim Al Suwaidi, Treasurer of the Al Faraj Fund, Colonel Ahmed Saeed Al Badi, Director-General of the Al Faraj Fund and Rashid Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Secretariat General of the Federal Demographic Council.
