(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The third Contemporary Childhood Conference kicked off on Wednesday under the slogan "positives and negatives of Technology children," to discuss influence of new technology on children.
The President of Child Protection National Society Dr. Seham Al-Furaih expressed, in a statement, her pleasure for sponsoring third edition of this conference for the third consecutive year, noting that the main goal is to contribute to providing a healthy atmosphere needed for children prior to future responsibilities in building the socieity and country.
Al-Furaih added that the spread of modern day technologies, smart phones, and small gadgets forced them to shed light in this conference on the positive and negative behind these technologies and programs, including providing experts on these topics on these issues.
The conference also called on parents and child experts to engage in this gathering and share their experience to minimize the negative side from using these technologies, Al-Furaih said.
The official also thanked all participating companies and sponsors for the conference which will begin its work with a health awareness seminar on increasing the social and psychological awareness and the effects of technologies, including social media on children.
