Private sector to get Thursday January 1st off for New Year: MoL
(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM)) The Ministry of Labour, MoL, has declared Thursday, 1st January, 2015, as official paid holiday for all private sector employees in the UAE to celebrate the New Year.
The announcement came following a statement issued by Saqr Ghobash, Minister of Labour, according to the provisions of Article 74 of Federal Law No. 08 of 1980 concerning the regulation of labour relations, and its amendments.
Ghobash sent his kindest regards to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and Their Highnesses the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates on this occasion.
He also sent his regards to the people of the United Arab Emirates and residents, congratulating them on the occasion.
