Sharjah Ruler to attend UNESCO's World Arabic Language Day in Paris


(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM))  H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, is to attend the celebrations of World Arabic Language Day on Thursday at the headquarters of the United Nations Organisation for Education, Science and Culture, UNESCO, in the French capital, Paris.

The Ruler of Sharjah's participation in this event as guest of honour is attributed to His Highness' many contributions to the Arabic language service.

Dr. Ziad Aldrees, President of International Plan for the Development of Arab culture in UNESCO, said, "The choice of H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan as guest of honour at the ceremony and His Highness' approval to attend the event, crowned our efforts in Arab cultural development and makes us more keen to be more giving so as to follow H.H. Sheikh Sultan's contribution in supporting the Arabic language."
