(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM)) The Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, GCC, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, has strongly condemned the appalling terrorist attack on a school in the Pakistani city of Peshawar, resulting in the killing and wounding of hundreds of innocent children and unarmed teachers, calling it a "cowardly criminal act, contrary to all religious and ethical values and principles".
The Saudi Press Agency, SPA, quoted Dr. Al-Zayani as saying in a statement that, "GCC Member States strongly condemn this heinous crime, by which its perpetrators were stripped out of all human sentiments with their assault on innocent children." Expressing his condolences to the families of the victims and the Pakistani government, Dr. Al-Zayani wished the injured a speedy recovery.
