Kuwait keen on supporting Arab efforts worldwide

(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM))   Kuwait has said that it is keen on supporting the Arab states' efforts in all international arenas, especially those related to the Palestinian cause.

Kuwait's permanent representative to the Arab League, Aziz Al-Dehani, was quoted by the Kuwaiti news agency, KUNA, as saying that he visited London and Paris as part of the Arab League's ministerial delegation plan, aimed at mobilising international support for the Arab draft resolution presented to the United Nation's Security Council to end the Israeli occupation and establish a Palestinian state.

Kuwait is heading the Arab summit's current session, besides the Arab Peace Initiative Committee according to the Arab League's ministerial law number 7850, issued on November 29th of year 2017.

The Arab visiting delegation met the Foreign Ministers of France, US, and UK to discuss the draft resolution, as well as discussing the French draft resolution which comes in accordance with the Arab one.

The Kuwaiti diplomat applauded the positive atmosphere of the negotiations, stressing the importance of establishing an independent Palestinian state, with Jerusalem as its capital, as comprehensive fair peace in the Middle East will not be achieved otherwise. Temporary resolutions and partial settlements are not accepted anymore, "if we are willing to witness security and stability in the region," he affirmed.

The Arab Peace Initiative Committee, headed by Kuwait, includes the memberships of Palestine, Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, Sudan, Yemen, UAE, and Oman.
