Kuwait- B'deshi Flees Country After Robbing 'Livestock' Traders


(MENAFN- Arab Times) An unidentified Bangladeshi is said to have left the country on a forged travel document after robbing Kuwaiti livestock traders to the tune of KD 86,000, reports Al-Rai daily. According to security sources the suspect was a long term resident of Kuwait and over the years acquired vast experience in the sheep trade market at the same time winning the confidence of many livestock traders.


The same sources said the suspect concluded deals with his victims during the Eid Al-Adha festival to the tune of KD 150,000 and left the country without paying for cattle worth KD 86,000. When the victims filed complaints with the area police station, police investigations showed the man had left the country on duplicate travel document leaving behind his passport with the sponsor.

Asian selling porn: Security operatives from Farwaniya arrested an Asian for promoting pornographic movies to individuals visiting cafÈ joints. They confiscated 450 CDs from the suspect, reports Al-Rai daily. Acting on information about the activities of the suspect, security operatives raided the cafÈ where he was operating and caught him red-handed as he whispered to a detective that he had porn movies for sale and the detective, pretending to be interested, asked him to bring more CDs. Sources said he was busted by the security operatives, as he left to bring a second bag of CDs. He was referred to deportation.

Jacket of drugs: Director General of General Customs Department issued a directive to refer a jacket containing drugs and hashish to the Directorate General for Drugs Control to conduct necessary investigations, reports Al-Anba daily. According to an informed source, the jacket containing the drugs and hashish was found in a package that was sent by air to Kuwait via DHL Courier Company. Investigations will be carried out to identify and interrogate the individual to whom the package was addressed.

Saudi arrested: The Jahra police have arrested a 33-year-old Saudi who was wanted by law in connection with a financial fraud, reports Al-Qabas daily. The daily added the suspect tried in vain to escape when he was nabbed at a checkpoint but he was chased and arrested in Taima, Jahra. The man has been handed over to the concerned authorities. Meanwhile, a 40-year-old Kuwaiti who was arrested in front of his home for possessing and consuming drugs has been handed over to the General Department for Drugs Control, reports Annahar daily. A security source said the man was taken into custody on suspicion because he appeared abnormal.

Nepali woman beaten: A Nepalese employee working for a Syrian in a shop inside a commercial complex at an unidentified location has filed a complaint with the Sabah Al-Salem Police Station accusing the man of assaulting her, reports Al-Anba daily. The woman has submitted a medical report to support her claim. Meanwhile, the police have summoned the Syrian for interrogation.

Teacher insulted: A female teacher from an unidentified GCC country has filed a complaint with the Zahra Police Station accusing the father of a female student of insulting her because she did not give his daughter good grades in oral exam, reports Al-Anba daily. The father has been summoned for interrogation.

'I know this man': An unidentified female employee of the Ministry of Interior has filed a complaint with the Maidan Hawalli Police Station accusing a Kuwaiti of breaking into her apartment and stealing her cell phone, reports Al-Anba daily. In her complaint the woman has said the suspect is known to her and has provided police details about the man and his telephone number. Police are looking for the suspect.
