Oman Air signs deal for 3 aircrafts

(MENAFN) Oman Air, the Sultanate's flag carrier, announced it has signed a sale and operating leaseback transaction for B737-800 aircrafts with Standard Chartered, Gulf News reported.

The carrier said that the deal included three planes, with the first two aircraft already delivered in November and December 2014, respectively to it, while the third aircraft's delivery is planned for February 2015.

Oman Air said that these aircrafts will support its growth strategy, which also includes adding new destinations and frequencies as well as increasing the carrier's capacity.

"These aircraft will support the ambitious growth strategy that we have just launched. This will see us offer our customers an increased range of destinations and frequencies, more convenient connections at Muscat, and world-class levels of onboard comfort and service," Chief Executive Officer of Oman Air said.
